What happens in a free initial consultation?
In the first session, I want to find out about your goals, lifestyle and advise you on the best program for you. I will happily answer any questions you may have, including health and fitness questions. It’s also our chance to show you how we can help you enjoy achieving your goals at Iron Nation Personal Training. It’s 100% private and non invasive. I will conduct a strength & mobility test and coaching to work through the process – ensuring your success. This strength test together with our chat and goal setting gives me the numbers and information I need to build your personalised program and diet. The session lasts around 30-45 minutes.
What does a normal Personal Training session consist of?
Each session starts off with a brief discussion to ensure you are staying on track (diet, training alone, etc.) Every individual’s training sessions are different based upon their goals, but most programs consist of a light warm-up and stretching, approx 40-55 minutes of resistance training, followed by a cool down and stretching period.
How are you different to any of the big chain gyms and their Personal Trainers?
Firstly, I train my clients in a completely private studio in Pascoe Vale – I do not like training in big and overcrowded gyms. I like the focus to be purely on my client and their needs and not the KPI's and pressure to "sell" unnecessary supplements that come with working in a large chain gym.
What Packages do you offer?
My clients may purchase in single sessions, or 10 (3 month expiry) and 20 (6 month expiry) pack sessions.
What style of training do you specialise in?
We specialise in measured evidence based resistance training to achieve performance based and Body Recomposition goals
What is Body Recomposition?
Body Recomposition involves deliberate exercise programming and nutritional guidance to achieve a measured desirable athletic figure or physique of whatever
extreme you desire. Whether you are talking about a flat tummy and toned body or pro-body building it all falls under 'Body Recomposition'.
What qualifications and Experience do you have?
Cert 3 & Cert 4 in Personal Training. Over 10 years as a Personal Trainer, and over 20 years training experience.
How many days a week do I need to train?
It all depends on your personal goals, however we strongly recommend 2+ sessions per week for optimum results or as a minimum 1 session per week.
I have an injury, can I still train?
We will assess your mobility and limitations in your first free session/consultation and advise if required a Doctor or Physio clearance. We will develop your program around your injuries and any other limitations you may have.
